During the climactic battle with the Executioner, after Leon fails to pull the grenade trigger (the safety lever is still clearly in place).
Leon: What happened, Toots?
It wouldn’t have exploded, he would have hit him better with it.. Well, the cover and the title of the film were enough to make me stop and pay attention to this film. Of course, I had never heard of this film from director Bruce Wemple, so I didn’t know what was in store for me. But the fact that it’s a horror film I haven’t seen yet was more than enough to make me sit down and watch it.
So it was a bit painful to sit through 88 minutes of this film
Screenwriters Bruce Wemple and LeJohn Woods created a rather weak plot line, which turned out to be neither very entertaining nor scary. I must admit that I was hoping for a little more, considering the cover of the film. I wasn’t familiar with the cast of the film, but I have to say that although the storyline was awful, the acting was actually fair. Not a particularly great horror film, and not one that will ever grace my screen a second time because it was boring enough to watch the first time.
Visually, “Executioner” did not impress either
Very few special effects were used in the film. And as for the creature depicted on the cover of the film, don’t get your hopes up, as it’s practically absent from the film. The movie cover was actually the best part of the whole story. If you like horror movies, I wouldn’t recommend spending 88 minutes watching this 2024 movie directed by Bruce Wemple.
